Hemp and lime were used as a monolithic envelope, extending seamlessly from the walls up through the roof, making them the sole materials from inside to outside. The structure breathes, ensuring healthy air quality, regulated moisture levels, and a toxin-free environment. Additional benefits include the lime’s ability to sequester carbon dioxide, neutralize toxins and odors, and the hemplime’s fireproof nature, superior sound abatement, resistance to rodents and termites, and excellent thermal mass for energy efficiency.
